More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I just did a year in Australia working 2 full-time live in nanny positions in the course of 12 months. In conjunction, I babysat an 8 month old 2-3 times a week.
Previous to my time overseas, I was as a pre-school teacher assistant for 4 years (ages 21 month-5yrs), all while I attended college full-time.
I have experience working and being in soul charge of groups of children at 2 different after school programs (kindergarten-5th grade)
I was also a mentor in 2012 for two children with special needs. Including; Autism and Down syndrome.
I'm currently an infant/Toddler Home Visitor for low come families

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I really enjoy watching children be children...using their imagination, learning through trial an error, all while providing a calm and gentle space that caters to their individual age group. some examples are engaging in arts and crafts, cooking, putting on a play, dancing, swimming, attending story time at local libraries etc
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important aspect of caring for children is their safety, PLAYING via imagination, and being their voice by helping them grow and develop by setting up their environment appropriately. I also strongly feel that being a nanny means bringing forth a sense of happiness, warmth, trust, and fun through out the day.
My experience with special needs children...
Studied early childhood for children with special needs my freshman year of college and mentored two kiddos back in 2012

My name is Chelsea, everyone calls me chels! Im 23 years old and ive always loved kids. Growing up ive always been told i was born with a mother’s instinct. Once i got Into high school i wanted to learn about children, and how they grow mentally and physically. so i got myself into a 2 year course of child psychology and child development. That class taught me a lot of responsibility and insight on how to care for all ages of children and understand children of all types such as special needs, autism, and behavioral issues. I also learned what to do in serious situations like if the child were to choke or go unconscious. The last couple years ive nannied for a family of 4 kids between the ages of 5-12 but the children are older and don’t need much supervision anymore. So here i am now, ready to help more loving families that need it:)
