Hi! My name is Madison (Maggie), and I’m 20 years old. I’m currently looking for babysitting as a side job and would love to help families who need an extra set of hands. I’m also expecting a baby myself, but my pregnancy doesn’t limit my ability to provide dependable childcare or help around the home. I’m comfortable with childcare, cooking, light housework, laundry, meal preparation, and keeping things organized. I previously worked in childcare at my church and have always been great with kids. I have experience keeping children entertained and occupied while their parents are busy, as well as caring for toddlers and babies during church services. I love doing screen-free activities with children that are fun, hands-on, and suited to each child’s age and needs. I enjoy activities that encourage learning, creativity, movement, healthy brain development, and confidence in both babies and young children. With older children, I focus on activities that keep them interested and engaged, especially things they can accomplish independently or help me with. I believe children learn best when they’re having fun, feeling involved, and being encouraged to explore their abilities.

The most important part of being a nanny is providing the best possible care for each family and meeting their individual needs. To me, being a nanny is about much more than simply watching the children. It’s about being dependable, respectful, attentive, and willing to help wherever needed. I believe in respecting the family’s boundaries, routines, and parenting choices while creating a safe, comfortable, and positive environment for the children. Above all, the children’s safety and well-being will always be my top priority.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with children with special needs is limited, and I want to be honest that I am not fully up to date on the specific care techniques or needs that may be required. I have had little direct experience caring for children with special needs, but I have been around special needs adults with autism, learning disabilities, and ADHD. I am always willing to learn and follow a family’s specific instructions, routines, and recommendations to provide the best possible care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite part of being a nanny is earning the parents’ trust and seeing the relief on their faces when they come home to a clean, organized home and happy children. It’s incredibly rewarding knowing I’ve made their day a little easier and that their children were safe, cared for, and having fun while they were away. What reassures me most is hearing the positive things the children have to say about me to their parents. Knowing that the kids enjoyed their time with me and felt comfortable enough to share that with their parents is one of the most rewarding parts of childcare.
