A little bit about me

My name is Maggie, and I graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Studies in May 2018. I live in South Reno, NV and am looking for a part-time or full time nannying position. I have nannied for many different families and also have experience working in daycare settings and preschool classrooms. I am highly trained and experienced with infants and toddlers, and have also cared for older children as well. I have the most recent experience in infant care and have skills like changing diapers, potty training, sleep training and meal prepping. I am CPR and first aid certified and also trust line registered. I have my own reliable car (2016 Mazda CX-5) and am willing to drive children to summer school, sports camps, fun activities, etc. I am extremely reliable and trustworthy. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked at two different independently owned preschools as a lead teacher, have nannied for some wonderful families over the last 5 years, and also have worked at in-home daycares. I have experience with many age groups, but have worked with only infants the last 3 years. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and have a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing things outside with the children I nanny. Depending on the age group, activities I have done in the past are daily walks around the neighborhood, going to the park, playing in the backyard, or doing a water table. I also love doing art projects, making fun sensory bins, and really am up for anything the child is interested in! I enjoy finding out what the child's interests and favorite things are and then basing activities and projects off of that.

Fostering child development through play and seeing a child learn and grow.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have a lot of experience with special needs children. I have taken a class in college for my degree and am educated on children with special needs but I have never had the opportunity to work in a special needs environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are teaching and watching a child learn something new for the first time or finally get something they have been trying to do. I love watching the little light bulb go off in their head when they discover something new!
