My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for several children with behavioral/mental disabilities such as complex trauma & explosive behaviors/outbursts related specifically to foster children(ages 3-5)
I have also cared for nonverbal children (ages 2-4years) who have little to no recognition of their name, or if they're being spoken to. Developmentally they are still infants, even at 4 years old. (I am unsure if they've been diagnosed with anything specific, so I will refrain from attaching specific diagnoses)
