A little bit about me

Current AISD Art teacher, I grew up living in Arlington, TX with a big happy family. I developed a love for childcare early on through volunteering with preschoolers during my teenage years. I then moved on to camp counselor at a private school summer camp, before accepting a full time position in preschool education. I also gained experience in long term substitution at an elementary level, before finding my true passion- nannying! I was a nanny to a beautiful little girl for three years before moving away to finish college. During that time I fell in love with nannying and creating a strong bond with her and her family.
I have a degree in Studio Art from the University of North Texas. I also have a very lazy dog named FInn that thinks every child is his very best friend. I love nature, animals, art and creativity/play based learning. I am a very hands on kind of nanny and fully believe children have just as much to teach us, as we do them!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Currently working as an elementary art teacher for AISD. I was a preschool teacher for two years, with experience caring in the age range of 5 months to 5 years. I also taught in a private elementary school for three years, teaching age range 5 years to 6th grade.

I’m a huge art fan! I love doing anything creative and explorative with kids! I’m a very hands on nanny, and love educating and caring through creation and art projects, as well as music exploration!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny, for me, is to create a lasting bond with a child, or children and their families! I’ve been fortunate enough to nanny for an incredible family that ended up being like an extended part of my own family. Helping to raise a child is so important and incredible, my goal is to help do that in a way that makes families more feel comfortable and loved.
