I have been working with children since high school. I first started as a tutor for K-8 students at an after school program 5 days a week. I have also worked in a preschool with 2-5 year olds as a teacher aid, and in a kindergarten class room.

The most important part about being a nanny is catering to my children and making sure they feel seen, heard, and cared for. I want the children I'm working with to feel safe around me, and I want their parents to know that I am someone they can count on when it comes to their family.

My favorite nanny moment was when one of the Kindergarten students I was working with would come to school everyday with his shoes on opposite feet because it was "his style". He insisted I try it out too, but I loved this moment because it was hilarious but also because it taught me how to allow kids to make their own mistakes and be their own person.
