Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have done an internship at an elementary school and have worked with taking care of kids a lot. I worked with an autistic student specifically as well. I also babysit a lot, and I am the 2nd oldest in my family so I have lots of experience with taking care of my siblings and cousins when they were newborns up until they could take care of themselves! :)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Walks, bike rides, coloring, crafts, reading, playing games, playing pretend, and helping with homework.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Empathy! If a kid may be struggling with anything whether it be big or small I will always show empathy and compassion towards them. Another important thing is helping them stick to a schedule even if they don’t want to. And also jumping in and being involved, engaged and interested in them and their lives and not just sitting and “watching” them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for a few autistic children at an internship I did at an elementary school.
