Hi families! I’m Maira, and caring for children has been my heart and joy for over 15 years. From snuggles with newborns to fort-building with toddlers and homework help with grade-schoolers, I’ve done it all and I absolutely love it. My experience with special needs children includes caring for children with Down syndrome, ADHD, and autism. I incorporate structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement to help build confidence, encourage independence, and make learning fun. I also work closely with parents to follow routines, therapy goals, and strategies that support the child’s development and overall well-being.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was watching a shy toddler I cared for build confidence over time and proudly sing their favorite song in front of their parents for the first time. Seeing that growth and knowing I had a role in helping them feel safe, encouraged, and supported reminded me why I love being a nanny.
