Hi! My name is Makaila and I’m a reliable and caring nanny with over 3 years of hands-on childcare experience. I’ve worked with a private family caring for a toddler full-time, where I was responsible for daily routines including meals, naps, playtime, and bedtime. I also helped with light housekeeping related to the child such as tidying play areas, laundry, and preparing snacks and meals. I really enjoy creating a safe, structured, and fun environment where children can learn and grow.

Although my full-time position ended when the family transitioned to remote work, I’ve continued babysitting for families and friends and I’m very comfortable caring for toddlers and young children. I’m patient, dependable, and attentive, and I always aim to support both the child’s needs and the parents’ routines. My experience with special needs children...

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was seeing the child I cared for start to feel more confident with their daily routines. After spending time together every day, they began to independently pick out toys, help clean up, and even look forward to parts of their schedule like reading time and outdoor play.
