Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as a behavioral technician at Hudson Valley Behavioral analyses. In this position I worked with children ages 2-16 on the autism spectrum and children with OCD.

Most recently I worked as a nanny for a family with a one year old and a five year old. In this position I managed sleep schedules and nap times, feeding, diapering, toileting, and handled light housekeeping.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything outdoors! Some of my best memories growing up took place in my backyard! I want to be able to create those memories with the children I care for and get them physically active while having fun.
I also enjoy doing anything and everything creative with kids! Experimenting with finger painting, sand play, water colors and more can be a lot of fun. Its always so wonderful to which kids find their niche!

My experience with special needs children...

I worked as a behavioral technician at Hudson Valley Behavioral analyses. In this position I worked with children ages 2-16 on the autism spectrum and children with OCD, and other neurodevelopmental and behavioral disorders. I worked one-on-one with several children throughout the day to implement their treatment plans using applied behavioral anayalses. Most of my work consisted was done with the children aged 2-6. This role also included toilet training, practice dressing, social skills training, speech training, instructional work (including colors, numbers, days, etc.), and so much more.
