My name is Makenna, I'm 21, I'm a musician, and a social work major at GSU. I’ve been a childcare provider for around four years for children ages 1-12. In 2019 I volunteered for the YWCA G.U.T.S (Girls Using Their Strengths) program, and had the opportunity to inspire and be inspired by the next generation of women! Previously, I was a nanny for two kids, where I had the task of picking them up from school, and taking them out to do various activities (mostly outside, I believe connection with nature is very important). I love working with children, as it gives me a different perspective on life, and it’s a job that encourages me to exercise patience and compassion always.
