I was a camp counselor working with kids from ages 5-12 a few summers ago, and most of my childhood was spent with me watching neighbor’s, family’s and family friend’s children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m best at bringing children’s creative sides out by drawing and coloring with them along with helping to play with toys to get them thinking and moving, I’m more than willing and happy to go on walks and take them to parks so they have outdoor time, if there’s a pool I’m willing to teach them how to swim if you allow me to, I am also okay teaching them words and helping with homework as needed.
My experience with special needs children...
I am on the spectrum myself but also during high school my mom worked with special needs teachers and I was a teachers assistant for her also so I would walk with and go to classes of the low incidence students to help them out.
