I enjoy doing a variety of activities with children depending on their age and interests! Some of my favorites include crafts, homework help, playtime, dress-up, trips to the park, reading, and super awesome dance parties. Specifically with older kids, I also enjoy introducing them to simple kitchen activities/cooking. I’m happy to help with extracurricular practices and encourage kids to stay active, creative, and engaged while having fun!

The most important part of being a nanny is building trust with the child. I think it’s important for kids to know that they can feel comfortable around you, be themselves, and know that you’re there for them. Whether that means listening to them, playing along with their imagination, or being patient when they’re having a hard day, I want them to feel safe and supported while they’re with me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was helping a child make pancakes for the first time. We definitely made a little mess in the kitchen and had a few funny-looking pancakes, but they were so excited to keep trying until they got one just right! It was also a fun way to teach them some basic kitchen safety, like being careful around the stove, washing our hands, and cleaning up as we went. They were so proud of themselves when they finally flipped a pancake on their own, and I loved seeing how excited they were to learn something new!
