A little bit about me

I am an experienced childcare provider, educator, and youth development program manager. I began in childcare at age 14, when I’d get paid $6/hour to entertain my parents’ friends’ kids. I’ve loved the dynamism, joy, and creativity of children since. I have worked for private families for over eight years as a nanny, tutor, and household assistant. I also have experience in education, teaching in both a classroom setting for a non-profit organization that provides political and civics education, as well as a music and theatre instructor in a camp. After I graduated from UC Berkeley, I transitioned to youth programmatic work in which I manage a national youth activism program, providing training, curriculum development, and logistics coordination.

In my free time, I love to hike, surf, rock climb, and basically do anything outside. I also have an extensive arts background and am practiced and both performing (music, storytelling, theatre) and visual (ceramics) arts mediums!
