Hi families! I’m Marc, a 19-year-old Licensed NYS EMT and former college athlete transitioning into a Union electrical career. I provide structured mentorship for families who want a capable role model for their son.

After struggling academically my freshman year while playing college baseball, I took it upon myself to pivot. I leaned into the discipline I developed during my high school EMT training to build a new path in the trades. I show boys how to turn setbacks into systems for success.

Safety: Active NYS EMT License; trained in emergency response and crisis management.

Responsibility: Future Union electrician; I teach self-sufficiency, organization, and life skills.

Engagement: We handle homework efficiently to get to "unplugged" fun such as sports, building, or strategy games.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My relevant experience comes from years of hands-on leadership and family responsibility. As a coach for my childhood Little League, Inwood, I was responsible for managing team dynamics, teaching fundamentals, and ensuring a safe, disciplined environment for the players. Growing up with several younger cousins has given me years of experience in managing the day-to-day needs of children, from preparing meals to resolving conflicts and keeping them engaged. I know how to connect with kids on their level while maintaining the authority of a mentor.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m all about keeping things interactive and "unplugged." Whether we’re hanging out inside or getting some fresh air, I like to stay engaged with the kids I mentor: I’m always down to head to the park, shoot some hoops, or just run around. Since I grew up playing sports, I enjoy keeping things active and helping kids burn off energy.
I’m a big fan of hands-on projects like Legos, building sets, or board games. I enjoy strategy games that get kids thinking while having fun.
I like involving kids in everyday tasks, like helping with simple meal prep or keeping their things organized. I think it’s great when they learn to take pride in being capable. If it’s a rainy day, I’m happy to get into a project, whether it’s a science kit, a drawing session, or a new building challenge.

The goal is to make sure they’re actually having a good time and staying productive while you’re out.

The most important part about being a nanny is providing a consistent, safe environment where a child can actually thrive. I believe my job is to be a reliable leader, someone who makes sure the day-to-day responsibilities like homework and chores are handled, while still being the guy who can get outside and keep things fun. It’s about building a foundation of respect and capability so parents can have total peace of mind while they’re away.
