More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked personally and educationally with children ages 1-17. I was a preschool teacher for 5 years and a program coordinator for after school programs for 6. Throughout that time, I also nannied during break times and finally decided to make it my full time job.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some indoor activities I enjoy creating with the children is based on their age group. Young toddlers and babies, I will usually create activities that will help them with basic math and reading as well as fine motor skills. For my older kids it's usually a lot more outdoors.
The most important part about being a nanny...
As I have worked in a big and smaller setting with children, I learned that boundaries need to be set by the children as well as the adults. We often forget that they have their own thoughts and opinions and if we build a safe and comfortable environment, the end result will be healthy and happy kids. :)
My experience with special needs children...
I have many difference experience with children specifically ADHD and Autistic children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I was gone for a week and the toddler (3) I took care of remembered out cleaning routine and told his mom that its not clean to sleep before brushing his teeth! I had a good laugh as he told his mom that "we need clean teeth to eat".
