More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a volunteer that tutored a handful of students at a nearby elementary school throughout high school. I assisted on homework, projects, and study tips for each subject and collaborated with their homeroom teachers to create specified plans for the success of each student. These students were native Spanish speakers that I also assisted with their transition from using Spanish at home and using English at school.
Prior to the pandemic, I also worked in a church nursery every week. The children I cared for with the nursery staff were infant-4 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely love the outdoors and any activities we can enjoy during the nice weather. I’m a comfortable swimming, love water activities, hiking, and biking. There is always something exciting and educational to learn from nature!
Indoor activities are also a huge hit! I really enjoy any creative activities I can work with the kiddos to do. Painting, holiday projects, and educational crafts we can use to gain their interest in!

The most important part about being a nanny...
In my opinion, the most important part about being a nanny is maintaining the trust and patience between the nanny and child. Understanding that nannies have an impact on the future of the children we care for is very important. Making learning lessons through everyday things, building self esteem, and developing good coping mechanisms are things we can consciously portray. We are a respected role the child’s life, but also someone to rely on. We should always be patient and make them feel safe with us.
My experience with special needs children...
I have no prior experience with special needs children, but I am an exceptionally devoted and patient learner. It is all about you and your child’s comfort level with a caregiver’s experience level. If you are comfortable working with me to ensure the utmost respect and care for your child I am eager to help. I am a very patient, trustworthy, and compassionate caregiver that sees everything to gain in working towards something I am previously inexperienced with.
The most important part about being a nanny...
After a day of fun with the 5 year old twins I nanny they asked me if they could have some berries from my lunch. They eat separate meals than me, but are always very interested to see what I bring to eat. Their curiosity towards new things is something to nurture! I immediately gave them some. A celebration of jumping and running around ensued. “Best. Nanny. Ever!!,” they chanted. It was so adorably heart warming because despite the activities and arguably more exciting events that happened previously in the day, berries are what gained the most excitement. Children have the most pure love towards the little things that I think adults tend to have to relearn. I am honored to be reminded of these little bursts of happiness at work everyday.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Madison, WI: Kasey W.
I am a licensed school counselor in the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. In my free time, I love exploring the Midwest, going for hikes, bike rides, and attending sporting events! I'm a Michigan native, but consider Madison my second home after living here for the past 5 years. During graduate school, I worked as a nanny for a family with two boys who are now two and five years old. I loved getting to spend time growing, playing, and creating with this family and hope I can serve as an additional caretaker in a Madison-family's home to supplement my income as a part time educator.
