My experience with special needs children...
I have had extensive training with many different forms of special needs and understand that every child is unique in what they require. I have had specific training on common mental and neurodevelopmental disorders seen in childhood as well as some effective treatments for Autism spectrum disorder, Tourette’s syndrome, behavioral issues, and mental health disorders. I have close family members who are twice exceptional and have needed additional care which I have been a part of for many years. Medical needs as well as behavioral, sensory, and/or emotional needs are not new to me.
