A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Mari, I am a 23yr old Preschool teacher and musician, looking for a summer position.

I have been working with and around children since my early teens, and have worked with just about every age, infant to school aged. I have been a babysitter for family friends, volunteered in children's churches, and worked for a daycare in which I was around and always engaged with kids of all ages, including twins and school-aged children.
I was a nanny for 3 years and became a pre-school teacher while nannying in 2022 before fully becoming a pre-school teacher!

My passion for working with children comes from my belief that we, as caregivers, are a primary example for our kiddos. As a nanny and teacher, I work to improve mental and physical skills in new, fun, and exciting ways, and love expressing creativity in every form.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There’s a little girl I used to nanny for, and now occasionally babysit, that absolutely loves playing hide and seek. When she was a bit younger, she would hide behind the door, so I’d stick my fingers under the door and wiggle them to make her laugh, she started doing it right along with me! I thought it was hilarious, and she has the cutest laugh. She’s almost 4 now so she’s gotten pretty good at hide and seek- but she still wants to be found!
