I was a nanny in Colombia, I was in a nursery as an intern, the experience was great so I decided to take care in my free time of my friends' children and my cousin who at the time was 5 years old.

It all depends on the age, my experience has been more with older children so they require more time and have a lot of energy and get bored very easily, for them what I do is to make routines of activities such as picnics, going to the park, going to the pool with their friends, painting, watching movies, cooking together among others.

The most important thing is to have patience, I feel that experience helps you but every child is different and even if you have a lot of experience will let you know that you will start from scratch, so patience is important because with it you will learn to understand their world, the second thing is to be affectionate, you can not take care of a child if you do not like children.
Also be very respectful with the family, a nanny is like another member of the family but respect must be fundamental.

When we all travel and that's when I get to know them more because they let me know I'm important, also when they do my hair it's weird but the girls love to do my hair and they say it's like mermaids hair it's very funny hahaha, with the guys it's different but my favorite is when they like to cook and they tell me let me do everything I'm a big boy you're just the supervisor hahaha.
