More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a Master’s in Education and have worked in school classrooms for two years.
I previously worked as a camp counselor and lifeguard at a sleep-away camp for children with special medical needs (ages 7-17), and was trained in regards to various medical conditions and physical and mental disabilities. I have worked as a babysitter and a nanny for several families, serving children ages 1-13.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love swimming and playing sports with kids. I also love playing with sidewalk chalk, jump ropes, and just about any other outdoor game!
Inside, I'm a big fan of scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, fort-building, board games, dance parties, karaoke, and puzzles! I also have experience teaching in classrooms and would be happy to help with academic support.

I think it is incredibly important to always provide kids with a positive, supportive environment where they can learn and have fun! I like to make sure my kids can stick to a routine as needed while also having lots of fun new experiences!

My experience with special needs children...

I previously worked as a camp counselor and lifeguard at a sleep-away camp for children with special medical needs (ages 7-17), and was trained in regards to various medical conditions and physical and mental disabilities. This included medical needs such as type 1 diabetes, sickle cell, and spina bifida, as well as cognitive and developmental delays.
I also volunteered with Special Olympics in high school and had the chance to play sports with some really awesome athletes!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Very recently, my kids and I made reindeer crafts and their hands were the antlers. They weren't entirely sure why I was tracing their hands on some construction paper, but the final product was awesome!
