The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to help them with the simple things. Where the forks go in their house, how to pour a cup of water, explaining the difference between certain styles of art and them actually understanding. Teaching them how to garden maybe?

I like the idea of creating core moments. Teaching things im good at to different people. Introducing different perspectives.

My experience with special needs children...

I have only worked with a handful of kids on the spectrum. Not many required anything extensive outside of regularly dosed medications and typical food allergies. I believe I have only had to care for two nonverbal kids ages 8 and 4.
