Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a teacher since 1989. I have worked with children of all ages and all cultures. In 2001, I worked as a Spanish Teacher to Kindergartners and first graders and In 2005, I worked for the Department Of Education as a Substitute Teacher for 17 years Finally, I have done babysitting work with my nieces, nephews and children from the daycares that I worked for..

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing arts and crafts, playing cardboard games, educational games, singing, reading, dancing, building with blocks or legos, etc. I really love being outside in nature. Outside I like playing volleyball, relay race, basketball, toss and catch with bean bags, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most part about being a nanny is building a rapport with the child and genuinely loving him or her like if he or she was your very own.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with special needs children in an inclusive classroom and in a separate special education program. I have baby sat my niece who has Down Syndrome and my nephew who has autism. I have also worked with special needs children in a one to one approach. Working with special needs children is satisfying and fulfilling especially when the material is sometimes, at long-last understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when the child I was taking care didn’t want me to leave. He wanted me to stay over that night. He kept blocking the door so that I could not leave and he kept telling me not to go.
