I volunteered at the local church, New Freedom church in Green Bay, working with children 0-6Y. It was an amazing experience where I had the opportunity to set up a group coloring activity for the children. It went very well and I went back several times.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When slime was popular, the kids I looked after always wanted to make some. I agreed with the understanding that they had to stay organize and clean up everything after, it taught them a lot about being responsible about the messes that you make and taking time to stop fun for some clean up. It was honestly one of my favorite activities to do with them and I think it helped us build a better connection. Another thing I have really enjoyed doing with children would be walking family pets, swimming on hot summer days, or visiting a nearby park.
