More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children, ensuring safety during play, meals, diaper changes, and naps. I’ve helped with homework, organized crafts, and led outdoor activities to keep kids engaged and active. In high school, I supported teens with learning disabilities, which taught me patience and how to adapt to different needs and learning styles. I’m dependable, organized, and proactive—able to keep the day running smoothly without constant direction. I stay energetic and patient throughout the day and value clear communication with parents. I’m also flexible and calm when handling last-minute changes. I truly enjoy supporting children’s growth, happiness, and well-being, and I bring responsibility, enthusiasm, and care to every interaction.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing a mix of creative, active, and calming activities with kids, depending on their energy and mood. Some of my favorite things to do include arts and crafts, painting, and fun seasonal DIY projects. I also love reading together and making storytime come alive with different voices. Being outdoors is a big one for me—we’ll go on nature walks, visit the park, or do scavenger hunts. I enjoy cooking and baking simple, kid-friendly recipes where they can help stir, measure, and of course, taste! I also like to bring music and movement into the day with dancing, singing, or even using pots and pans as instruments. I try to incorporate learning through play, like puzzles, memory games, or pretend play, and I’m big on creating calm moments too—whether that’s sensory play, a story, or helping kids wind down with some breathing exercises. My goal is to keep things fun, engaging, and supportive while helping each child feel confident and loved.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building trust—with both the kids and the parents. Kids need to feel safe, loved, and understood in order to really thrive, and that starts with showing up consistently and being someone they can count on. It’s not just about watching them, it’s about supporting their growth, helping them through their big feelings, and celebrating their little wins. For parents, it’s about being a reliable, respectful presence in their lives—someone who communicates well, steps in where needed, and really cares about their children’s well-being. When that trust is there, it creates a space where everyone can feel more at peace, more supported, and more connected.
My experience with special needs children...
⸻
My experience with special needs children began in high school, where I worked closely with students in a special education program. I provided one-on-one academic support, helped modify lessons for different learning styles, and assisted teachers with behavior management and inclusive activities. That experience taught me a lot about patience, adaptability, and the importance of meeting each child where they are. Since then, I’ve carried those skills into my childcare work—being extra mindful of each child’s individual needs, using positive reinforcement, and creating a calm, supportive environment. Whether it’s helping a child communicate more confidently or just offering consistency and understanding, I always aim to make sure every child feels safe, included, and encouraged.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was with a little boy I used to watch who had a hard time with transitions—especially saying goodbye to his parents. So one day, we made a “see you later” handshake together, with silly moves and a big stomp at the end. It became our thing. Every time his parents left, we’d do the handshake, and he’d go from teary-eyed to giggling in seconds.
