More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
High school babysitting jobs sparked my early passion for childcare, as I regularly cared for children from various families in my church community. This experience grew into more formal roles, including working at a daycare where I cared for children of all ages, with a focus on infants. Additionally, while working in marketing at a nonprofit, I took the responsibility of leading childcare efforts during events, combining my organizational skills with hands-on care.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy engaging with children in creative, educational, and active play that supports their development and brings joy to their daily routines. This includes but not limited to: reading books, doing arts and crafts, exploring nature, playing games, singing songs, and learning about letters, numbers, and shapes. I enjoy helping children build routines, develop independence, and discover new skills through guidance and positive interactions. But in reality I enjoy building meaningful bonds and helping a child to grow and be happy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is a trusting relationship with both the children and their parents. A nanny is not just a caregiver, but a consistent, nurturing presence who supports a child's emotional, physical, and developmental needs. This role requires patience, empathy, clear communication, and a deep sense of responsibility, as nannies often play a key part in a child's early learning and overall well-being. Creating a safe, loving, and structured environment helps children feel secure and thrive, making the nanny's role invaluable in the families dynamic.
My experience with special needs children...
While I don't have direct, personal experience working with children with special needs, I'm open to learning and committed to providing compassionate, attentive care. I'm always willing to follow any guidance or routines provided by families to ensure their child feels supported and safe.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my funniest nanny moments was during lunchtime with the kids - I was mid-sip of milk when one of them, completely straight-faced, asked if broccoli could give you fluffy curly hair like mine. The timing, the seriousness, and the randomness of it all had us laughing so hard that milk came out of my nose. The kids thought it was the most hilarious thing ever, to this day I still remember that moment.
