I was assisted by at least one assistant most of the time if not two, although this was not required I felt it was important to be able to give each child one on one dedicated care when it was wanted or needed. I ended up closing for several reasons one of the foremost reasons was to further my education which I have done. I am now working on my 3rd degree!
I missed the connections with the families so much that I continued to nanny while I went back to school.
I have found being a nanny to be extremely rewarding! Being a nanny gives me a closeness to the children I care for that I was unable to have with the children in my large family daycare. I can teach, and cuddle the children while still creating a structured loving environment while being a part of raising the whole child.
