A little bit about me

Hello my name is Marissa Grijalva! I am a 20 year old aspiring professional dancer from Merced California who is currently looking for a full time job to work with me and my intense rehearsal/teaching schedules. As a dancer I am at the studio 5 days a week from 5:00pm-9:00pm, these times also include when I teach as well. I have been working with toddlers from the ages of 2 and over and young dancers for over 7 years now. At the studio my main responsibility right now as a teacher is aiding the 2-6 age group in the basics of dance. It is an incredibly rewarding responsibility that has inspired me to want to work with children even more!

*I am Covid-19 vaccinated!
*As of right now I am not CPR or First Aid certified, but I am in the track to earning the certificates.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been consistently volunteering and working with children since I was 13.
My first experience working with children was at my volunteer job with Weaver Middle School head start in 7th grade. As a volunteer my job was to direct playground activities and guide them with their in class projects. Aside from classroom volunteering, I was heavily involved in the arts programs at my schools and Coached for multiple band and drama activities during my free time. In the present I am currently staff , Assistant Director and front desk operator at Studio K Colorgaurd and Dance where the majority of our dancers are from the ages of 2-12. My job as a dance teacher at the studio allows me to work with our youngest dancers on basic technique and team activities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My teaching job entitles me to keep our younger dancers engaged in our dance program. To keep them engaged I do a series of obstacles, dance games and hands on activities such as parachute to help them stay interested in what we are working on that day.
