A little bit about me

Hello, My name is Marshonna (Marsh). I hope you all are well. I appreciate you taking the time to get to know a little about me. I’ve worked in the childcare field for over 15 years. I’ve worked in numerous centers as an assistant and lead teacher with children in the infant, toddler and school age groups. Most of my experience is with infants. I enjoy caring for others, especially the little ones. My most favorite part of being a childcare teacher is watching young children learn. It’s such an amazing experience watching a child you’ve been teaching, show you that they were able to learn what you taught them. Even after 15 years, I can’t picture myself doing anything different. In addition to me working in centers, I was a private nanny for a family in the Virginia Beach area. I stayed with that family for a full year, before deciding to part ways.I hope that we have the chance to chat soon. But, I do hope you and your family find the perfect fit.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked in the childcare field for over 14 years. Many of the first children I’ve cared for are coming out of high school. So crazy to think about. I’ve worked at a few centers in Philadelphia. Which is where I am from originally. I also worked in a center called Kindercare in Delaware. Throughout my years I’ve been lead teacher in almost all of my infant rooms. I’ve been a floater and worked with different age groups but infant rooms is where most of my experience is. Currently I am a private nanny for a family that I have been with for a year. I am looking for a new position that meets my current needs. Which is why I’ve joined the site, in hopes of finding the perfect family for me to help and become a part of. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I absolutely love to do art work with the children I care for. Not only is it good for the fine motor skills but many other skills as well. Also going out on walks and looking at all the sites together. I absolutely love being out in nature. Do I go on many walks. I enjoy being outdoors. I enjoy teaching the basics. The child I currently care for is 14 months old and I got him to say his name for the first time this week. It’s honestly rewarding to see your hard work pay off.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is always when the child I care for meets a milestone. When I started, he was only 2 1/2 months. So I had to encourage him to do tummy time and roll over. And now, he’s walking and running from me ha ha. So many milestones reached in so little time. And I love it!
