My experience, besides my 4 kids and my granddaughter, is that I’ve babysat since I was 12. I almost can’t believe that’s true, but the 70’s were a different time. I’ve watched friends kids over the years too, but I have no formal daycare or nanny experience.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Things I did with my kids and do now with my granddaughter include: Crafts, riding bikes, going to children’s museums and other kid friendly establishments like zoo’s, reading, outdoor play, watching kid friendly movies!

My experience with special needs children...
I have a daughter with ASD with low support needs and I have two other children that were diagnosed with ADHD as children. Additionally, my granddaughter is in the process of a diagnosis, and they are looking at ASD with a PDA profile. I’ve never formally worked with special needs kids, but because of my families make up I’ve done a lot of reading and research so that I can be a more effective and compassionate parent and grandparent.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Unfortunately I’ve never nannied before, but I have lots of favorite moments while being responsible for kids. I really like seeing them experience new things. I just took my grandmother to Disney World in February and it was magic for her!
