I am a former teacher looking to expand my knowledge beyond the classroom. My desire is to serve the right family as best as I can. I understand the stress that comes with childcare and hope to help the right family feel confident in their choice of care. I love kids and their playful nature and really value play and outside time. In my free time, or alongside the hands of tiny people, I enjoy reading, baking, being outside, and swimming. I am a former elementary classroom teacher (3 years) and an early childhood education classroom teacher (4 years). I have several certificates and continuing education courses, and am always eager to learn something new!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do all things alongside the kiddos in my care and consider myself a very engaged and active caregiver. I specifically enjoy baking, crafting, imaginative play, and being outside together in any weather!

I see working as a nanny as an opportunity to work alongside a family and support their needs to the best of my ability. For me, the most valuable skill to offer in nannying is clear, honest communication. I recognize the trust given to caregivers and I truly honor that piece.

My experience with special needs children...

I have 1 year of experience working and engaging with children with special needs. In my experience, I was a direct support professional (DSP) for a child and provided 1-1 support in their private home. I am opened to working with children with special needs and am happy to discuss what this looks like for your family!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I got my first formal nanny job while I was in college. I nannied overnight for a sweet, single mom who worked the night shifts as a nurse. I picked the kiddos up from school and after dinner we made my favorite kid dessert- tye dye cupcakes! The three girls I nannied had no hope about my crazy idea… When we cut open a cupcake, the girls went wild and were so, so excited! That memory is a huge reason as to why I love working with kids. They are curious, full of joy, and love a surprise!
