A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Mary Morris. I am a Catholic Christian, and I would like to serve a family in the area who is looking for part-time childcare and light housework help.

While I was in grad school, I watched two little boys for a family in Denver, and I discovered a love for working with children. I worked with several families with children of all ages during my time in Denver and later took a sales job.

I’ve recently stepped away from my job in the fast paced corporate world and am hoping to do something more flexible. As a part-time nanny, I would love to entertain your kids with games, reading, and educational activities. I make an effort to incorporate Christian values and life lessons into everyday moments and to help children find joy in learning.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading books, putting together puzzles, playing games, hide and seek, arts and crafts.
I let the parents give me an idea of the kinds of activities they value and want me to prioritize. I am happy to help with homework and plan some fun educational activities that go along with what kids are learning in school, etc.

My experience with special needs children...

My mother is an elementary school special education teacher, and one of my best friends from high school (and senior prom date) is on the spectrum.
I have spent lots of time around children and teens with special needs and love building them up and encouraging them to see the beauty, strength, and individuality of their differences.
