And one of my favorite things is reading to them.Can take children to the library if desired. Building with toys, making them laugh. I will study each child to see what they are interested in, and try to relate to them through each interest. Kids just want to be listened to as though they were an adult. Great for their self esteem, also.

My experience with special needs children...
I had a little boy who was a Premie. He had difficulty swallowing because he had been on a vent for so long. He attended therapy to learn how to use his tongue to push the food back to swallow. In my job, I learned to feed through a Peg tube. I'm glad I had the medical training that I have. It helps a good deal.
