A little bit about me

I am CPR certified, My first language is French, and I am currently a student student at Christ For the Nations Institute. My experience with kids first started with me taking care of my younger sisters (being the oldest). It continued with me helping out at the orphanage. My country the Ivory Coast has been through a series of wars through the last decade and it has resulted in many children who were left orphans. My mother couldn't bare the sight of the children eating from trash cans so she started taking them in one by one, and before we knew it, our home was filled of about 30 children who did not know where to go. Today it's with pride and joy that I can say that our orphanage has up to 200 children. I am well experienced in taking care of children going from 0 to 17 years old. With children, I have found that patience and structure goes a long way. But we can do all that while having some fun, right?

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at my parents' orphanage back home with almost 200 kids. I was responsible for the children's schedules, meals, health (shots), extracurriclar activities... You name it
I also helped some families here in the USA.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe that the most important part about being a nanny is understanding that as a care giver, (even to teenager), I must be aware that I am impacting the child. It is important to leave a beautiful impact in the child's life, to be a good example, so that when the child becomes an adult, he or she will remember at least one thing that they have learned by me being with them. It is a great (the best) opportunity to present a beautiful world to a child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a loud musical person, I enjoy having fun with the kids, while dancing, singing with them, entering into their little imaginary worlds. I also love teaching them a word of French per day.
