Most recently, I worked at Hope Lutheran School and church. I had a class of 10 children for the day by myself. I do have experience with autistic and Down syndrome children as well. I also have worked at White Pine Charter School as a DID student assistant.

I am an active boomer who loves to do art and bake. I always have something planned for the children daily.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe it is a responsibility that should be taken seriously. A great nanny doesn't need to be told what to do. She sees what needs to be done and is proactive. Communication is key.
My experience with special needs children...
Down syndrome is in our family. My nephew is 27, and I have had him on many occasions for the weekend or several days as his father travels for his job. I also have worked with autistic children, and I have had training for DID children. White Pine Charter School and Hope Lutheran Church have both had the privilege of my time and talents.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It is seeing the happiness in a smile. I do not have grandchildren, so I enjoy others' kids, as my son will probably not have children.

As the youngest of nine children, I’ve often been left to take care of my many nieces and nephews and have nannied for family’s as well.
Come the fall of 2025, I will be starting part-time classes to become a kindergarten teacher and would love to keep nannying as my focus to better understand and care for children. In addition to being an artist, I am a lover of the outdoors. Ranging from snowboarding, fishing and foraging for berries, nature is my happy place. I strongly believe that our connection to the Earth plays a large role in appreciating everything we interact with; animals, people and plants.
