Hi, I'm Matty! I'm looking forward to working with your cutie kids! Here is a little about me and my experience. I am currently enrolled at NUAMES Early College High School as a Senior. I am in a program that allows me to work on my high school diploma as well as my Associate of Science degree. Come this May, I will have completed both with a total of 61 college credits! I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, baking, and creating however I can. In my free time, I also tutor children of all ages! I love helping kids with their reading and writing skills, as well as math.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I spent the past 3 months in Oregon working at Camp Namanu as a Camp Counselor. I lived with kids ages 6-14 for 5+ days at a time as they spent hot days swimming, creating, running, and laughing at camp! Each week I would be responsible for 6-10 campers, and I gained great experience with bedtime, behavior management, and 1 on 1 conversations with kids who just need a little extra time and love! I received praise from anyone I worked under throughout the summer and my evaluations often detailed my way of bonding with kids, creating a safe environment, and my willingness to work hard and help any way I can. Although 3 months seems like not a ton of experience working with children, after doing the math, I spent nearly 800 hours with kids in just that short period! In addition to my camp experience, I grew up in a large family of 8!! I've spent countless hours babysitting and caring for children over the years.
