A little bit about me

I have experience in Early Childhood Education and am CPR certified. I have cared for and supervised children ranging from as young as 7 months old to 16 years old. My experience includes working in a variety of environments, including daycares, schools, tutoring sessions, and general in-home childcare. I’m comfortable with age-appropriate activities such as feeding, diapering, entertaining, helping with homework, and keeping children engaged and supervised. Most importantly, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where children feel supported, cared for, and able to be themselves.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered at libraries and after-school programs, working with students who have ADHD and autism. This experience taught me to be patient, understanding, and adaptable to each child’s individual needs while creating a supportive and welcoming environment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping children engaged through fun and educational activities, such as playing board games, doing quizzes, watching educational shows, and singing together. I enjoy making learning feel fun and creating activities that children can genuinely enjoy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is making a child feel safe, loved, and understood. Children may not always remember exactly what you taught them or what activities you did together, but they will remember how you made them feel. I want every child I care for to know that they can trust me, be themselves around me, and feel comfortable coming to me when they need someone. To me, being a nanny is not just about supervision—it’s about being a positive, patient, and dependable person in a child’s life.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs, including volunteering with students who have ADHD and autism through library and after-school programs. I’ve learned the importance of patience, understanding, flexibility, and creating a calm and supportive environment where each child feels comfortable, included, and respected.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was with a 7-month-old little boy I cared for. He had a habit of getting fussy when he was tired, so I would hold him close, gently rock him, and sing little songs until he calmed down. One day, after I had been holding him for a while, he rested his head against my chest and fell asleep in my arms. When he woke up, he looked at me, smiled, and reached his little arms back toward me to be picked up. That moment genuinely melted my heart. At only 7 months old, he couldn’t tell me that he trusted me or felt safe with me, but that little gesture said everything. It made me realize how special it is to be trusted with a child’s comfort and happiness, and it’s a moment I’ll always carry with me.
