A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Ameera and I am a 18 year old girl that is a certified LPN as of March of 2026. I want to gain more experience working with children enabling my own independence. I love children and family and this is pushes me to do my best as a caretaker. I am currently in college, but communication about my schedule will always be clear.

I am CPR certified, have worked with kids of all ages (volunteering at a daycare and clinical experience), and have 9 months of healthcare experience. With this job I am hoping to help the family and move toward caring for the child as well as possible.

There are certain times in the year I take a trip to see and care for my family in Antigua during holidays and some breaks. If this may be a problem, please let me know so we can come up with a solution!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important factor just like in healthcare is safety. Seeing all the things that could happen in 2 minutes has encouraged me to. be very vigilant and to pay attention at all times. My job is the be a nurturing figure, but to also teach them and keep them safe. Being CPR certified, abdominal thrust (Heimlich) trained for all ages, and water safety trained has helped me become a better observer for children safety.
