A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Maya! I recently graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences and have over 5 years of experience working in daycare, childcare, and camp settings. I’ve cared for children across various age groups, supporting daily routines, play, and age-appropriate learning while prioritizing safety and emotional well-being.

I also have research experience at Virginia Tech working directly with children, guiding them through structured, developmentally appropriate activities. This academic and hands-on background has strengthened my understanding of child development, behavior, and communication, helping me be patient, attentive, and adaptable to each child’s needs. I am CPR and First Aid certified, have full availability, and truly enjoy building positive relationships with children and families in a nurturing, supportive environment.
