The most important part about being a nanny...
There's so many stories that can be told from my experience in nannying whether it be the fun times, the many jokes, or the aha moments but one stands above them all. I think my most favorite is the relationship building that comes from working with children daily. You eventually become comfortable with a child, as they do with you, and in that, they see you as a role model, a friend and someone they can trust. For one family I watched for several months in the school year, it was his priceless face every morning I knocked on the door, he knew who was at the door. Whether it be a smile, a hug or as simple as the excitement they express, you know they're excited to be with you. Connection building is so vital and important, and to know you're more than just a person to them is extremely heart warming.
