More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've worked as a nanny for various different infants for 4 years. I've worked in daycares, child development centers, Utah schools for the dead and the blind, and of course, as a night nanny, which is what I'm hoping to do this summer.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Something I enjoy doing with older kids is having them create obstacle courses and race through them outside. Its a great way to get their energy out, use their creativity, and have fun! This works with toddlers too, they just need help staying focused😂
My favourite thing to do with infants (besides coming up with ways to make them laugh) is making sensory bags for them. At my daycare we would put water, glitter, food colouring, and beads/seashells/pompoms in water bottles or Ziploc bags (we would glue/tape them shut, and always supervise). The babies loved exploring them and it was fun to see!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing to me is patience. I nannied a young boy with low functioning autism for 6 years and working at a daycare for a few months so Ive had lots of practice with patience and it's important to me to stay patient and professional.
Another quality important to me as a nanny is creative! I love coming up with new fun ways to learn with kids and babies, and its so rewarding to watch them enjoy it as much as I do😊

My experience with special needs children...
I have worked in a child development center with lots of different special needs. Including Down Syndrome, Autism, and what we called Spirited. Ive also worked with kids with autism at Utah Behavior Services so I have lots of experience in this department. I'm also looking for more experience with CVI babies because I want to work with them once I have my degree
The most important part about being a nanny...
I could not pick a favourite moment, I think I can narrow it to 2. Recently I was nannying 5 boys ages 1, 5,7,8, and 9. We had an absolute blast playing football in the backyard and then having a nerf gun war in the basement. Everyone had so much fun and I felt like a kid again.
The other favourite moment is a little less specific. I work as an overnight sitter for an infant who has trouble sleeping through the night (and mom works). I will admit that at first I loved this job simply because I got to spend time with a baby for hours, but recently I've grown to love him as an individual and felt very bonded to him. my favourite moments are when he wakes up and smiles at me.

I love children as I have younger siblings and have had many years of experience being a full time nanny for two different families of 3-4 children. I am friendly and outgoing and am a huge believer in interacting with children. I don't believe in sticking them in front of a Tv but genuinely playing with them and helping them to use their imagination to learn and grow. I love people and am good at connecting with others. Full-Time Nanny Available in Provo, UT: Heidi C.
I have been a babysitter for the past 12 years and a nanny a couple of summers ago. I loved being a nanny and growing close to the kids that I watched all day. I have experience watching kids of all ages (from 0-12 years old). I love taking them outside, playing games, making crafts, and entertaining them during the day. I also can take them to their activities, tutor them, do some house cleaning, or grocery shopping. I am a straight A student and just graduated from BYU in biology education and will be looking for teaching jobs for the next school year so I am planning on just being a nanny for the summer. I am excited to meet you and your family!
