The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny, in my opinion, is building a trusting and supportive relationship with both the children and their families. Every child is different, and I believe creating a safe, caring, and positive environment allows them to feel comfortable, confident, and understood. Being someone a child can rely on while also maintaining open communication with parents is what makes quality childcare truly meaningful.

My experience with special needs children...

In my experience working at a preschool, I have managed classrooms with children who had a wide range of individual needs and required different levels of support from their childcare providers. I have worked with both neurotypical and neurodivergent students and always aimed to create a safe, supportive, and fun environment for every child. I believe open communication with parents is one of the most important parts of providing quality care, as it helps me better understand each child’s unique needs, routines, and personality.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts of being a nanny/babysitter is watching children grow more confident over time. I love seeing shy or quiet kids gradually come out of their shell as we build trust and spend more time together. Whether it’s encouraging them to try something new, express themselves more openly, or become more comfortable in social settings, it is incredibly rewarding to be part of that growth and to help create an environment where they feel safe, supported, and confident being themselves.

Danielle D. - Seeking Work in Philadelphia

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Philadelphia, PA: Danielle D.

Hi families! I’ve had a passion for childcare for as long as I can remember. From helping in my aunt’s home daycare as a child to babysitting since age 13, caring for children has always been a joyful part of my life. I truly love being a part of a child’s growth and development, and helping build confidence, motivation, and happy memories they can carry for years to come.

I’m also a proud mom of three successful adult children (26, 25, and 19), so I understand the importance of patience, encouragement, structure, and fun. I taught my younger brother how to read when I was just 10 years old, and I still enjoy creating learning moments through play, arts and crafts, storytelling, cartoons, and Disney+ movie nights.

My goal is always to create a safe, nurturing, creative, and uplifting environment where children feel supported, seen, and happy.
