I have experience working as a swim teacher with Swimtastic where I worked largely with children ages 2-8. I also have experience babysitting my nieces and nephew from ages 2-7.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to do both indoor and outdoor activities with children!! I would say my favorite outdoor activities would be swimming and nature walks and my favorite indoor activities would be crafts, such as bracelet making, and board games!
The most important part about being a nanny...
In my opinion, the most important part about being a nanny, is being someone a child and family can trust. It takes a lot of courage from both the parents and the children to accept a new person into their lives, so I strive to be someone who can be trusted as a hard worker, a tutor, a caregiver, a friendly face, and anything else a family might need from me so they can have some peace of mind when they are away from each other and can be ready to focus on the time they do have together.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked with several special needs children during my time as a swim teacher who had developmental disabilities as well as sensory processing disorders. I am more than willing to work with special needs children again and to do any research that comes with that on my own time.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have so many great moments and memories from working with children, but my recent favorite has to have been swimming with my niece and nephew! they are both so creative and silly and it was great to see what games they came up with as well as watching them get so comfortable in the water and become stronger swimmers!
