Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have over 15 years of professional childcare experience, specifically as a full time/professional nanny (and household assistant/manager) for families with little ones aged newborn through preschool (and up). I also have extensive experience working with multiples, nanny shares, and children with special needs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
For the most part, activities I enjoy will depend on the age(s) and development level(s) of each child I care for, however I always try my best to get outside (walks, yard, park, etc.) at least for a few minutes every day (unless extreme weather of course). I also always plan out and provide a variety of (age/development appropriate) indoor activities, examples include: books/reading, tummy/floor time, make believe/dress up, art projects (usually w/toddlers and up) singing/music/instruments, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My goal while working for your family as a nanny, in your family’s home, is to be as much as an extension of the parent(s) as possible, which means I will always aim to care for your child(ren) as if they were my very own. I also strive to be a support system not only for your little one(s), but for your entire family/household. I want to help make your lives run as smooth as possible and will always go above and beyond to in order to achieve that goal. I try to do anything/everything I can to allow you stress free time at home to spend with your little one(s), rather than having to worry about a sink of dirty dishes or a messy house or piles of laundry, etc. you can instead do all of the things you were looking forward to doing with your family when you walk through the door!
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for and working with special needs children, including: autism, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, severe food allergies, premature infants, and more... I also have experience caring for siblings (varied ages) and multiples/twins, as well as infants and toddlers in nanny shares (including shares with little ones at the same age and also shares with mixed ages).
The most important part about being a nanny...
I’ve had so many favorite “nanny moments” through the years, so it’s impossible to choose just one… I will say though that one of my favorite moments while working with each family is when I arrive to work each day and am greeted with huge smiles, sweet hugs, adorable laughter, and so much love from those little faces that I care so much about!
