I’ve had several opportunities to support and look after children in informal settings. While I haven’t worked as a teacher, nurse, or early childhood educator, I’ve consistently been the go-to person in my family and community for babysitting. I’ve also helped during family gatherings, birthday parties, and other events where I’ve supervised groups of children, kept them entertained, and made sure they were safe. These experiences have strengthened my ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and connect with kids in a fun and caring way.

I love doing both indoor and outdoor activities that help kids learn and have fun. Indoors, I enjoy reading books, coloring, teaching numbers, letters, and playing educational games. Outdoors, I like playing tag, going for walks, drawing with sidewalk chalk, and letting them explore nature safely. I always try to match activities to the child’s age and interests, so they’re engaged and happy.

My experience with special needs children...
I have personal experience caring for my 5-year-old nephew who has autism. I regularly take him to his therapy sessions and help reinforce what he learns at home. I enjoy teaching him colors, numbers, and how to identify everyday objects. I’ve learned to be patient, calm, and encouraging, and I’ve built a strong, loving bond with him. I’m proud of how much progress he’s made, and I love celebrating those small but meaningful wins with him.

My favorite moments are when I make the kids laugh and see that pure, beautiful joy on their faces. Whether it’s a silly dance, a funny voice, or a goofy face, I love knowing that I’ve made their day just a little brighter. Those moments remind me why I love working with children so much.
