A little bit about me

I am semi-retired. I have 27 years in public school transportation management and 4 years working as a Special Education and Education Aide for Sycamore Schools and Mariemont Schools. I also worked as an Educator for the after school and summer camp program housed at Mariemont for Mariemont and Terrace Park students (pre-k-6). I am a mother and grandmother, fit and energetic. I am looking for a family in need of someone that will keep their children safe as well as engaged in activities throughout the day. Exploring nature when the weather permits, arts, crafts, sensory activities. As the year progresses, learning about different holidays (age appropriate and if family celebrates of course), meal prep and baking that involves child participation (great way to have fun while learning counting, shapes, colors and sensory).
My ultimate goal would be to find a long term commitment. I hold CPR and First Aid certified, clean BCI and driving record as well as other training.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a caregiver for one of my students that had autism, was prone to seizures and was on a strict keto diet for 2 summers. I was an education and special education aide for Sycamore and Mariemont Schools. I also worked for Right at School a company that provided before/after school care and summer camp that was housed at Mariemont Elementary. During the school year, we took care of 60 students daily (Mariemont & Terrace Park students). This was Mariemont and Terrace Park combined. I assisted with the organization of snacks, lunch, bathroom breaks, crafts, games, playground, field trips, cleaning, signing in/out, and safety of children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are so many but it is so nice when children are proud of themselves. It could be from losing their first tooth to going potty to making their parent a drawing they worked really hard on. Just being able to see the excitement on their face when they have new experiences is priceless.
