Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience in A wide variety of childcare settings. During my teenage years, I would babysit for neighbors and extended family. I spent approximately six months working at a daycare, primarily with the infants and toddlers. I did have a nanny job for a time, but it wasn’t for long, as my husband got a job overseas and I resigned in order to prepare for our move. I now have a three month old son, so I have had constant childcare experience for that time. However, my son can be cared for by my husband or mother-in-law while I work.

Reading, playing games, coloring, doing crafts, playing outside, swimming (if a pool is available), helping with homework, etc.

My experience with special needs children...
I've worked with adults with special needs and teens with mental health disorders & learning disabilities. While I haven't worked with special needs children per se, I would be happy to work for a family with a special angel like this! I believe special needs individuals are unique souls placed on earth to teach us about kindness, compassion, and acceptance.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have two favorite moments while working at the daycare. The first was I had a sweet, three-year-old boy build a tower out of legos. When he showed it to me, he said, "I made this for you, Miss Melissa." It was adorable! The second favorite moment was when we had pajama day at work. I wore panda slippers with my PJs, and the kids swarmed my feet to poke the pandas. They got so giddy over something so simple, and I love that. Afterwards I read them a book in the classroom that was about pandas.
