Review client treatment plan and maintain competence in antecedent interventions, reactive procedures, and target implementation
Provide 1:1 therapy to support client skill building and behavior reduction through evidence-based intervention
Create positive learning environment to encourage client engagement and maintain client safety
Assess client motivation and conduct preference assessments throughout session
Implement and fade prompting strategies to increase client independence
Deliver reinforcement on VR or FR schedule to increase target behaviors; Implement behavior intervention plan to reduce maladaptive behaviors
Collect accurate data through Central Reach mobile app on client performance and provide session notes summarizing behavior trends, teaching strategies, and food intake/ restroom schedules
Build rapport with client and families through pairing and communication

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment working with a kiddo by far, has to be the time I was working with a two year old client in a therapy setting. She had ASD and communicated mostly with leading and guiding and ASL (basics). We were practicing sounds "buh," "eee," and "wuh" on the swing. I got the chance to hear her say each sound that she had never said with me before, several times. I immediately reinforced these sounds by swinging her high on the swing and praising her.
