Hey there! My name is Melody and I am a 17 year old highschool student currently looking to help some people in need of any child, house, or general animal care, and also to make some nice money on the side! I sadly do not have a driver's license, which I apologize for. I am willing to do any general light housekeeping (dishes, laundry, folding laundry, sweeping, tidying, etc.) I am happy to pet/house sit and I am also willing to stay overnight. I have had much experience babysitting children throughout my life (since around 9) and am accustomed to more than one child aged 4-10 but I am absolutely willing for any ages, and also even just one child! (I'm accustomed to just around three.) I am absolutely willing to negotiate prices and if you are lower on money, no worries! I am looking forward to helping and being there for anyone in need. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I'm great with cooking and baking with kids! (I'm willing to bring my own cookies or bake mix absolutely) I love art and drawing, watching movies, playing outside, playing dress up or pretend, cuddling and hugs are always welcome! I love just talking and spending time with kids as well. I'm also well acclimated with playing games, I absolutely love board games and can even bring my own monopoly game! Toys are awesome to play with. I am happy to spend time and watch the kids in any way fit. An entertained child, is a happy one.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is really being kind, trying to connect with the child. I think finding joy in their presence and treating them how you'd want to be treated, is a must. Like even with my little siblings, just spending time with them by being kind and valuing what they say and think, it keeps a strong bond. It also doesn't hurt to try to be reasonably matching their energy, if their excited, be excited! It helps a lot with keeping them happy and content throughout the day.

My experience with special needs children...

Other than personal relatives with behavioral issues or autoimmune (they get sick more easy, sleep apnea) issues, I don't have much experience. But I am absolutely up to watch any child no matter what!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was watching these two sisters one day, and we were just sitting on the couch watching a movie right after lunch time (they requested it) it was adorable when the younger one (just about 18 months) laid her head on me and went 'snachoo' over and over. Mimicking someone snoring. It was absolutely adorable. Promptly, I laid her down for a nap.
