Hey there! My name is Melody, I’m 29 years old, and I’ve lived in Panama City for almost 4 years now. God led me to my husband, who has been a local all his life, and we now have a 10 month old son together. I have worked in childcare for nearly 2 decades, including babysitting, church nursery and Children’s Bible Hour, professional nannying and being lead teacher at multiple centers in Alabama and Panama City Beach. I have some early childhood development classes under my belt and am (slowly) on the road to finishing my degree in Early Childhood. God has truly blessed our family with allowing me to be a stay at home mom with my son, Bennett, since he was born, but now I am looking for the perfect nanny job, preferably one where I could bring my son along and potentially have him make some good friends! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been lead teacher in multiple daycare centers, have gone on several mission trips to South America where I worked with the educational department, have babysat for multiple families spanning almost 2 decades, including twins and triplets, volunteered in our church nursery and our Children’s Bible Hour at church for preschool children, and has also been a professional nanny to wonderful families!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading and singing to them, arts and crafts and letting them get messy!! I also enjoy letting them play outside! Parks, splash pads, backyard fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being there for the children. I am not a nanny who gets tired easily. I do not like having children sit in front of televisions all day. I am a very interactive nanny and love doing crafts with all ages children. I love playing dress up, make believe, board games, you name it!

My experience with special needs children...

The triplets I babysat for were born at 26 weeks. 2 of them had Autism and 1 had cerebral palsy. I have also helped autistic children who were in my care by practicing sign language and taking them to ABA therapy.
